Join the Mid-Atlantic Black Farmers Caucus for a two-day immersive experience through Delaware’s vibrant Black farming community! The Delaware Farm Crawl is your chance to tour a network of Black-led urban farms, enjoy fresh produce and value-added goods, meet farm animals, support local farm projects, learn new skills, and build community. Whether you’re a farmer, food lover, or neighbor—this event invites you to explore, connect, and contribute. Registration is Required. Please scan the QR code to register. As a cooperative, this Farm Crawl helps us advance our vision of self-sufficiency and a strengthened regional food system. Here’s how: Build Member Capacity We provide opportunities for returning-generation farmers to experience diverse urban farm models across Delaware—and engage in hands-on, community-led building projects and skill sharing. Strengthen Cooperative Ties We deepen relationships between MABFC members and Delaware-based farms through learning, collaboration, and solidarity. Uplift Visibility We highlight the stories and impact of Black farmers in Delaware by welcoming the public to tour, purchase, and engage directly with local farms. The 5th annual Delaware Veg-Festival!
The free annual community outreach Delaware largest vegan foodie fest. Join them for Zumba classes, live music and jazz band, vegan food vendors, green businesses, and 'Let's Beat Breast Cancer Rally.
They will also hold the first annual symposium on "Disease Reversal". You will hear from four expert physicians who have decades of experience in helping patients treat the root cause of their diseases and start truly healing from the inside out.

New Ground Grower Series: Volunteer Morning at Innersource Wellness Center
Attend the morning volunteer event at Innersource Wellness Center and Regenerative Farm. During this volunteer event/workshop, participants will get hands-on experience working on an urban farm while they learn about regenerative farms systems, value added product, composting, and community partnerships.

Mid-Atlantic Ornamental Horticulture Day
Please join the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture on Thursday, July 17, 2025 for a day of discussions and tours, which will explore the flourishing ornamental horticulture industry in the Mid-Atlantic.
The event, sponsored by the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp in Longwood's beautiful new Fountain Room with a panel discussion among representatives of the PA, DE, NJ and MD Landscape and Nursery Associations.
Following the panel discussion, guests will enjoy one of the two following guided tours—Longwood's floriculture production greenhouse, where the magic begins; or the new West Conservatory, Bonsai Pavilion and the recreated Roberto Burle Marx Cascade Garden. Please reply at your earliest convenience to Robert Grenfell at roberthgrenfelljr@gmail.com and indicate which tour you prefer (the greenhouse tour will be capped at 50 guests).
After lunch in the Fountain Room, guests will travel to nearby North Creek Nurseries, an industry leading grower of perennials and native plants, for a guided tour by owner Steve Castorani. North Creek pioneered the production of Landscape Plugs and grows 250 million plants per year from seed, cuttings, division, and tissue culture.
There is no charge for this event but space is limited by organization to the first 100 registrants. Please address any questions you may have about this event to Robert.

Social Soil
Green For the Greater Good is excited to announce that they will be partnering with the Latin American Community Center once more to offer a Social Soil event next month. Mark your calendars and bring your friends and family! Their goal is to connect more people and neighborhoods to the new Rodney Reservoir park and community garden and to cultivate their community connections, their “social soil,” through food, conversation, resource sharing and stewardship activities. Agriculture and Aquaculture Farm Vitality and Health Forum
The University of Delaware Cooperative Extension and its partners are inviting those with a stake in assuring healthy farm families and prosperous land and sea farms in Delaware to the Linking Agriculture and Aquaculture Farm Vitality and Health Forum, June 3, 2025, 9am-4:00pm at the Delaware Museum of Agriculture. Results of a recent USDA-funded study highlighted issues that are affecting the health and well- being of the farming population. These issues are also pertinent to farming families and farm employees in Delaware.
The Linking Agriculture and Aquaculture Farm Vitality and Health Forum will bring interested and invested parties together to develop a greater understanding of the issues, increase connections across diverse but interested parties in the public/private sectors, and enable the achievement of significant short- and long-term outcomes that will impact the priority issues affecting the health and vitality of the farming community and businesses.

2025 Urban Ag Session
The Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition (DEUFFC) invites you to join us for a Delaware Agriculture Week event. This event will focus on showcasing local projects that utilize urban agriculture to help them achieve a variety of health and wellness goals. Arrive as early as 5:00 pm to network with community members, and to learn more about the work of the DEUFFC and how to get involved. Partnering organizations will host displays and refreshments will be provided. Formal program begins at 6:00pm.
